Favorite Christmas movie... EVER!

My personal favorite Christmas movie HAS to be A Christmas Story. It's the only Christmas movie I own on DVD. I love to watch it anytime of the year. "Bumpuses!!!" LOL! I love the little piggie scene with the mashed potatoes ("meatloaf, beetloaf, {whine}") and the fight scene and the fantasies Ralph has re: his Red Rider BB gun paper (and the teacher's ecstatic reaction) and his reaction to having his mouth washed out with soap (and his parent's lament of said reaction). The Old Man's cursing in the light of a finnicky furnace and his ecstasy over his all-too-short-lived but gaudy Prize (Fra-jee-lay, anyone?). Eating Christmas turkey, er, duck in a Chinese restaurant - "Deck the Hars with boughs of Hahry, Fa-rah-rah-rah-rah-rah-rah-rah, tis the season to be jahry,..." There are too many funny scenes in this movie to list. It is just quite simply the best Christmas movie ever!!!

Penmanship

I don't know about some of this, but it's only for fun, right?

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You are highly energetic. You are a passionate, intense, vigorous person.

You range from very outgoing to very shy. You are a shapeshifter who is very versatile. You adapt well, and you look at things from many angles.

You are extravagant, over the top, and indulgent. You set trends and influence people.

You don't a lot of space, and you prefer to spend time with others. You are a little nosy and intrusive. You sometimes don't give people enough space.

You are a free thinker. You are unique, open minded, and artistic. You don't care what other people think.

You are a poor communicator. No one really knows exactly what you're getting at.

Thanksgiving Hangover?

Didn't do much yesterday - feeling like crud. I got my fever back - wish I knew what was going on. I hope I don't get sick again during my trip next week. But I shopped at some online scrapbooking stores, got a lot of rest and watched the Fantastic Four/Silver Surfer movie.
At any rate, I did this quiz:
You Are The Stuffing

You're complicated and complex, yet all your pieces fit together.
People miss you if you're gone - but they're not sure why.

Jon's Calendar and Christmas List

It's funny - Jon keeps saying that the TV is our Christmas present to ourselves (really to him). But then he keeps finding things he wants for Christmas. So his list is now: sneakers, IPOD/MP3 player, coasters, The Simpsons movie DVD, and Dunkin Donuts coffee. I am planning on making/getting him the coasters, a MP3 to Ringtone conversion software, a personalized Starbucks mug, a calendar of his favorite things and potentially the sneakers. The DVD hasn't even come out yet, so that's a moot point.

Here's a couple of pages I've done for his calendar:

OMG! Two posts in one month! Shocker!

I was a bit ill yesterday - I had a low grade fever and felt cruddy, but I don't know why. I feel better today, though. Went out during lunch to get a stand/turntable for the new TV we just got this weekend (like we really needed a new one). I also stopped at Archiver's and picked up coasters and a calendar to work on some Christmas presents.

Did several LO's this weekend, one for the calendar I'm doing for Jon of his favorite things (not shown below)...

A year later, it is time for me to blog again. Everybody does it, right? Well at least most people in the digital scrapbooking world, at least. That's right, I went digi. I took a class in February/ March and got hooked. Like a fish to great bait.

Needless to say I've been scrapping away. And plugging along in life.

Of course, this will be a great place to post my layouts. Here are a few recent ones:
